M.E.E.T. Ministry Jamaica

In the summer of 2009 the Lord led two medical missionaries to St. Mary, Jamaica to view a plot of land He had earmarked for a small home-like sanitarium. There was much reservation when the property was seen but, by his providential leading Dr. Thomas Jackson, Founder and Director of M.E.E.T. Ministry, Tennessee was contacted. After much prayer and fasting the decision was made to move forward.  In August, 2009 a leap of faith was taken since there was absolutely no cash on hand to acquire the 20 acres of land.  The Lord provided all the funds and by February, 2010 the title for our property was in our hands.

On Sunday, March 24, 2013 Dr. Jackson and a board member joined the team in St. Mary, Jamaica to dedicate M.E.E.T. Ministry, Jamaica to the service of the Lord.  The official opening brought individuals from various parts of the island and different locations in the world.   We became duly established as an international branch of M.E.E.T. Ministry, Tennessee.  It was an overwhelming experience to see prophesy being fulfilled before our very eyes.  Mrs. Ellen G. White wrote in her paper, Manuscript Release, Vol. 14, p.248 "The day before I left, Brother and Sister Richardson insisted on seeing me that they might tell me of the many advantages that Jamaica possesses for sanitarium work. I certainly hope that this field may be entered by earnest laborers. " Interestingly, this is the only time the country of Jamaica was mentioned in the numerous volumes of Mrs. White's writings.  As God's stewards, we earnestly accept this challenge and look forward to bringing wholeness to suffering humanity.
